Natural medicine???

I was diagnosed with LC in December 2013 and began Lialda. Unfortunately, I had a reaction to the drug (which I wasn't thrilled about taking in the first place:ybatty Since that time I have been doing a great deal of research in the natural medicine area and just began my first juice fast. Has anyone been down this road and had success?

Welcome to the forum. Some of the members in here benefit from a Natural medicine. (symptoms and inflammation). In our experience it was not enough. Whatever approach you take make sure to keep your DR. appointments and get your tests done. This disease can be very silent. You may want to visit the diet and fitness forum.

Read breaking the vicious cycle to learn about the Specific Carbohydrate diet. it will not cure you, but some do quite well on it. basically limit disacharrides and some starches and make homemade yogurt that is fermented from 24-36 hours.

i have used some of these ideas to find what works for me, eliminating lactose and sucrose has been a big help in reducing diarrhea. Ive been doing this for five years as i was afraid of all drugs, i do take lialda but only one because any higher and i get side effects, lialda plays a small role in suppressing my symptoms.
