I have been having really bad nausea mostly in the mornings! I get fistulas but have been clear for almost a year. Have had some cramping and a month ago lots of bowel movements a day but now only one or two a day and hard ( or semi hard stool) but I can't get rid of the nausea and I have never really had a nausea problem before. I am on humira one shot every tel weeks since December and never been a problem. I am not sure if I should be worried or not?! Any help is great.

One trick I learned in the hospital is to smell rubbing alcohol. It really works. I got a a box of packages that you just rip open for school because I started to get really nauseous lately.

I am going to try the rubbing alcohol

I have been getting nausea... I have been trying to find something to help. Crazy, I know, but I love the smell alcohol... i never considered it for the nausea.

Yeah, neither did I until they used it on me in the hospital. You like the smell of rubbing alcohol? Well, we are who we are :)

Another one I have heard..and I have tried (worked a bit for me) is lemon. Smelling a lemon (squeeze the peel to get the juices out and take a whiff) - supposedly a naturopathic way to help with nausea. Can't hurt to try. Good luck.

Lemons do help, I have tried that before and can verify it does decrease nausea. It may not work for some but that's what the tell pregnant women to do when suffering from MS. Also ginger, ginger snaps and motion sickness bands are some others I just discovered in my reading.

I don't get IBD nausea very often, but I used to get pregnancy nausea no-stop. Sucking on ginger candy ALWAYS helped me. Gingerale is good too, for some people.

Jessi,

Its strange I don't get it often either but for some reason its been horrible these past few days. Then again I almost ended up in the ER last night so I know this nausea is only underlining something more serious. ;(
