Need a surgeon in Kansas City

I have a stricture that requires surgery. I met with one surgeon, Dr. Joseph Petelin, that my GI doctor referred me to. However, after my consultation, the surgeon declined to take my case. If anyone knows of a good surgeon in the Kansas City area, please let me know.

I had mine done in St Joseph, the surgeon was fantastic.

St. Joseph, Missouri? I have a consultation with a Dr. "Thek" tomorrow. I live in Shawnee, KS. So, it's important that I have my surgery close to home.

Yes, that would be the St. Joseph. I do understand about wanting to have the surgery close to home, I had to have a surgery done at Shawnee Mission Medical once and it was far enough from home that my family only got to come once to see me during the week I was there. Was about 40-50 miles from home.

Wonder if Dr. Bruce Graham is still practicing at Shawnee Mission Medical? He's another fantastic surgeon.

He has done a surgery of mine, and he did my best friend's before that. I really liked him, he was great.
