Hello everyone!
So I've recently been diagnosed with Crohn's Disease, but have been dealing with the mystery for two years. My best friend (and significant other) has been by my side through it all- the countless appointments, hospital visits, surgeries, endless days of feeling horrible, dealing with whirlwind emotions, etc. I try to make sure I tell him that I appreciate him and all that he does for me, but I want to DO something for him as well. We're not huge going-out-to-eat people (lucky me), so I'd like to maybe make him something or do something for him...has anyone dealt with this before? :) I don't know how I'd get through any of this without him; he's been so helpful and I love him so much! :Karl:

Does your SO have any hobbies that he's into that you could contribute to? Does he have a favourite dessert you could make? Those are usually my go-tos!

That is very sweet of you. My hubby should be so lucky. ;)

If you're feeling well enough, there are loads of things you could do.

But perhaps you should check out this wonderful thread that helps so many of us.

I have to say that link made me tear up a bit! I feel horrible that he my sorrow or frustration is mirrored in him, but most of the time he is so strong for the two of us, and he really motivates me and helps me feel a lot better and always makes me smile and laugh through the pain. He makes me very, very happy and helps keeps me positive. Perhaps I can treat him to an ice cream night since it's his absolute favorite dessert! haha I'll probably pass on it though, doesn't do much good for me! Thank you for the responses :)

Hmm... What skills do you have? Are you a crafty person or do you play any instruments? Or do you have some nice photos of the two of you to make him a scrap book or something?

I find my SO really appreciates personal things that I've made him myself, because it's unique and takes time and thought to put it together. It doesn't have to be the worlds biggest work of art, it could just be a photo album.. Or even just a disk of songs that express something meaningful to you. :)
