I've been having a bad year this year with a serious leg infection which has caused me to have a hideous flare which I'm in the midst of. Then last week work turned my world upside down and gave me a good kicking.

So....hubbie has finally given in and to cheer me up is letting me have a kitten!! He is so cute and hopefully coming home on friday!

I know! I just can't wait until friday now and my children are on the verge of needing sedation! 5 more sleeps.

Ditto what misty said! How gorgeous! Awww that little one will be sure to bring you loads of happy moments! xx

Thanks guys!

Mark, he is a ragdoll - (high white blue), he will mature mostly white with a bit of bluey grey on his ears and a slightly greyish tail.
I had never heard of them but after some internet searching picked this breed as they are so docile, loyal and very rarely scratch....I am somewhat paranoid about animals and puncture wounds at the moment.
They are supposed to be very dog like to the point they follow you around and can be taught to fetch etc. Never had a pedigree before..always rescue animals.

I'll try and post another piccy when we get him!

I showed the pic to my other half before I received your reply and she said that it looked like a Ragdoll. Look forward to seeing some more pics.

We had a pedigree Blue British Short Hair and he made it to the age of 21. After saying that we would not have any more pets, earlier this year we were adopted by an all blue Moggi from along the road. Her former owner bought a dog. Having already adopted her daughter's Guinea pigs, we told her that we drew the line at adopting the dog or her child!

Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal!!!

I am so happy and excited for you...

4 more sleeps!
My GI tract is playing a new game of who can be the whitest ...me or kitten...just got latest hb result back...now 66, yikes!

I just want to cuddle that adorable kitten. I am sitting here at the office going ahhhhhhh! People are looking. They should be used to me by now.

Wendy

Nope, I am used to the reaction to me. I have 2 precious cats that are "make Wendy happy" surprises. I really hope your little one brings as much joy to you and your family as my 2 boys (yes, Ray and I refer to ourselves as mommy and daddy to the cats) have brought to us.

Awww, what a cute little ball of fluff! Have you picked out a name yet? I hope he brings you tons of joy! :D

I got my cat as a kitten too. I had never had a kitten before. Everyone told me she'd grow up to be a beautiful cat. I couldn't picture it, but everybody was right! I'm sure your little kitty will be a real stunner when he's all grown up too. :)

I can imagine you'd be paranoid! Our kitties are rescue animals. One of them plays fetch on occasion. They both "chirp" so we think a good part of them is Maine Coon.

Our Girlcat sounds just like this li'l guy. She's a very talky kitty!

Cat, We have decided he looks like a cloud and so have decided to call him Nimbus....I can't decide if that sounds a bit pretentious though!

Diesandhur....I hope he talks a lot as well!

awww that's a cool name lmh :) awww not long till you get him now :)
we aquired a new kitty (some horrible person left him out in the deep snow as a kitten and never came back for him) last xmas (smudge), he makes the funniest meows - almost like he's got a sore throat lol our other (rescue) cats tiger & lily sound a lot cuter when they meow, but I just have to laugh at smudge when he meows.
xx

We have a ragdoll named Princess, (she really acts like one too), she is very sweet, when she wants to be :)
She'll allow you to pet her and will lay by you but doesn't really like to be picked up. She is very gentle though, hasn't scratched me or the kids. She is a chirper too, it's so cute! Our older cat has started doing that since we got her, they adore each other. He's part shorthair and something else, looks almost like a Russian Blue.
Have fun with the new kitty!

They have arrived

...yes TWO kittens. So cute and just want to cuddle or walk over me and the keyboard!

I would put some photos on but I cannot make them small enough to let me upload them :eek2:

Two??? How did that happen? Lol. Good idea tho. Company for each other when your out. I am sure you are having lots of fun. Give em a snuggle fro me. Xx
