:banana:Excited, had to go shopping for new cleats for spring flag football last night...H outgrew the cleats he has used for at least a year. He is definately growing again. :headbang: He went up two shoe sizes since last fall! His brother went up one size so now he is only 1 size behind where I think he would be if not for the crohns.

This is the first thing I read this morning, what a wonderful note to start the day on! Hearing things like this makes me feel so much better. Thank you for sharing this wonderful news! Yippee for bigger shoes! :rosette1:

Twiggy930, I was so happy I wanted to shout from the rooftop. Outside of my family and this group, not many would think much of growing a couple of shoe sizes for a 10 yr old boy. I know when first dx I was concerned if he would make up the growth he lost. Since he has an identical twin, I have a pretty good gauge. He is not completely there yet but he is closing the gap,

SWEEET :rosette1:
Violet's feet are a size 10.5...embarrassingly large for a 5'3" kid...we call them clown feet. Yes, to her face.

Aboveitall,
10 1/2 is quite the shoe size to grow into, Violet sounds like a great kid. Has her energy perked up at all with the humira? Hoping the symptoms start showing the improvement her test results show soon.

It's wonderful to see our kids grow! It shows that things are working in the right direction! That's my Daniels shoe size & he is only 5' 1"!

My 28 y/o is a size 10 and she is only 5 ' 5" but Violet's are ridiculous.

No, the Humira is working great to lower her gut inflammation, lactoferrin went from 3600 to 105 after the loading doses, but NO change in her chronic fatigue.
Now I'm starting to think maybe she has just developed chronic fatigue, period.
I'm dropping off another specimen (oh joy) Mon so if LF is still low then her gut is still happy and we can conclude yet again that IBD is NOT why she feels like crap...

I wonder if insurance covers new wardrobes for amazing growth spurts?? Great news Mom!!

Ya, it was a great celebration when we went out to finally buy new jeans for my son a couple of weeks ago - used to take that for granted but now it's a "milestone" :)

I can definitely relate to this ! JJ has been in the same size shoe since he was about 11 ~ he has just turned 14! I plan on taking him out for a celebration when the poor kids' feet decide to grow ! LOL I always tell him the feet grow first and then the height follows ! :)

Great news ! Thanks for sharing and hope it continues ! :D
