 Hello my name is Leone and I was diagnosed with crohns in 1003. Since then I have had periods of severe illness and some times of relative calm. During one of my illness times I rejected the idea of having my bowel out, my specialist became quite nasty when I refused his advise but my thinking was somewhere in this whole wide world there is an answer to my problem. After trying holistic doctors and becoming sicker a friend paid for my to go to a natropath, I had thought of them as "quacks" but this one was also a medical doctor and he has put me on low dose naltrexone 4.5 mg per day in a capsule based on acidophilus filler, taken after 9pm at night. Apparently it is slow working but after 6 months I began to be able to live my life again. I have been on it now for about 2 yrs, the last 3 weeks I was taking the wrong medication and began to go down hill so I know that it works. Does anyone else get swelling in the feet making it very difficult to walk. anyway that is my story. I have found crohns to be very socially unacceptable so I hope I can regain my life. regards L
