NEW SYMPTOM...ever felt this?

I got pretty sick this afternoon.During this, I had a strange feeling. It felt like I drank a bottle of oil or somethin. I could taste it...smell it even. Felt it in my sinuses. And a strange cramping on the right of my abdomen. mid section. nausea and some vomiting. Ever feel anything like that. IT SUCKED!! uke_r:

Did you eat something different before you started feeling that way?

Have you been checked for GERD or plain heartburn? You may need to go on Nexium or an equivalent medication. I had to take Nexium for awhile until I started to keep a close eye on my diet. I still have bouts of heartburn that cause nausea and vomiting but not nearly as bad as it was.

Actually hadn't eaten yet. I had been awake for about 5 maybe 6 hrs.

It's back again.....It's like I just guzzled a bottle of vegetablle oil or somthin. I can taste it ,smell it. And now I have alot of pressure at the base of my back. Nausea's back....and I'm a little dizzy.

What kind of meds are you taking? I'm on a lot of pills which means that they upset my stomach very easily. Try eating oatmeal or something that won't hurt your stomach before you take your morning doses.

From my experience it doesn't help a lot, but it does make a difference.

If this is new and making you concerned or nervous, you should call your doctor or nurse and explain to them what's up. It seems a little strange to me.

@Sci-Fi.....I'm not on prescriptions yet. My doc hasn't written me up any yet.He's gotta do more tests. I just take some over the counter stuff. ( Omeprazole 20mg and some stuff to deal with fatigue,like Boost vitamin shake and B12). It doesn't always work but, something is better than nothing.

@Jessi...I have to speak to my docs office tomorrow anyways to schedule an appt. I'll be sure to mention this. I'm wonderin if I'm having a Gallbladder attack? EHH...somethin else to add to the list I guess.(shruggs shoulders). Thanx for your input guys

My mom gets gallbladder attacks and from what I understand the pain is almost unbearable. Not sure if this is unique to her or not but she can barely move when she gets them.

@Ducey99.....The pain can get quite sharp. I haven't had too much of a problem with it today (thank god).....just minor nausea and a lack of appetite for the last 3 days. I guess this is gonna be one of those things that just drops in for a visit now n then.Kinda like an annoying cousin.lol.. How often would you say your mom goes through this? Hopefully the two of you are doing well. Best wishes to you and yours.

i've had the odd taste thing, also nausia a little bit but i've been one of the lucky ones crohns disease has very rarely made me vomit

the taste thing generally comes about when i havent ate much but if you are eating and it's making you vomit then obviously something down inside you isn't agreeing with whatever type of food it is or maybe your stomach might be too sensative at the minute? personally if it was me i'd run straight to Accident and Emergency but again i'm a little bit of a wimp when i get any symptoms that reflects on my crohns as i don't like it to have too much power over me, if it's causing you large discomfort and making you dizzy and weak i'd go straight in Luna

Sometimes doctors take longer than you need (obviously they have to go by the book) but in my eyes crohns disease shouldn't always be by the book

Luckily it doesn't happen very often at all. Hers comes from gallstones. These can actually cause nausea and vomiting also.. the hypochondriac in me would say to mention it to your Dr. haha
