Hi, was glad to know there are others that can relate to me. I was diagnosed with Crohn's when I was 17. Iam 53 now. Have had an Ileostomy since 1985. They moved it from the right side to the upper left side 2011. I have alot of trouble with leakage especially during the night. Have tried several appliances. I've got my stoma nurse stumped. My dad also had Crohn's. Does anyone else have this problem or other family members with Crohn's? :p

Hello and :welcome: to the family. :)

I'm sorry about the leakage issues you're having. I don't have a stoma, but there are some very helpful people that may be able to relate with you here in the Stoma Subforum. http://www.crohnsforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=46

As far as people in my family with IBD... So far, I'm the only one. However, I have a father with MS, a cousin with Lupus, an aunt with Diabetes... and others with autoimmune diseases. There are quite a few people here, though, that do share IBD in common with their family members.

If you don't mind me asking, are you on any current medications to control your Crohn's?

Hi misspenn77.

I was on this site before and i found it very helpful, people are always happy to offer help and advice, and its nice to see that your not alone especially when your ill. I was diagnosed with IBS, Crohns and Colitus in 2001, ive had 2 ops, was allergic to remicade/infliximab so currently just on the Azathioprine....

Hope that this site helps you as it has me....
