Hi,

I`m 66 yrs old from England. Diagnosed with Lupus in 1994. Am immuno-suppressed, and on long term prednisolone. Perotinisis in 1996 ( thought to be caused by steroids) resulted in a colostomy. Diagnosed with Emphysema in 2007.
For last 2 years been suffering with aggressive, corrosive liquid stools.
Am taking immodium as and when needed to try to slow down peristalsis.
Have recently had a number of CT scans and barium meals, colonoscopies and gastroscopies, and when I next see my consultant in June I understand he will say he thinks I have Crohns.
Not looking forward to that but at least someone will finally have put a name to what my problem is and this means I might be able to do something specific about it!

Hi Saul and welcome! Did you get any results back from your testing or you get the results when you meet with your consultant?

As you said, there is a bitter sweet factor to getting a CD diagnosis. No one wants it, but at least you have answers and can address the problem. Let us know how it goes!

Hang in there!

Hi Saul and welcome!

Good luck on June 6th - D day. D for diahrea, and i hope they find something to help you with yours! If you do get a dx, like Jill says, it's bittersweet b/c you will have a new diagnosis to add to your long list, but hopefully it can lead to a treatment plan for you!
