Newly diagnosed

I was just diagnosed September 2012 im having to change my whole life because of this CD.I just want advice on what to for next I have started drinking ensure for my nutrition I can only keep down mash potatoes n yogert as hospitalize for11 days no one in my family has it do they say but screw how you get it how do you control the symptoms I stopped vomiting n diarrhea just the smell of seasonings get me nausea I can't even hardly cook for my kids my sister does and the pain is crazy don't see gi til 10/25 t
he hospital discharged me without any Med unsure of diagnosis at discharge no insurance is this a disease I can get a medical card for I am blank and. Justalso will I be able to work again just some good Support and advice on how and what to do I go gofo9d for a coupleof days then sick a day n well the next but since discharge I've Bern back three timethe
Last er doc I saw looked at results from cilonoscopy revealing CD she put me onprednisone zofran hydro 5/500 and that's how I been making it but it's not working please help

Your situation sounds pretty different from mine, so I don't know that I can help much. I'm sure someone else with better information will come along!

Were you just released from the hospital? I'm kind of surprised they would release you while you still can't eat. Was this because you don't have insurance? You might be able to get a medical card with or without the disease; I think it's based mostly off your income but honestly I don't know much about it. Is this keeping you from working?

So you're taking Prednisone, Zofran, and Hydrocodone? Has there been any change since you started the medications - especially the Prednisone?

How long were you showing symptoms before you were diagnosed?

My stomache only hurt for about two weeks not to bad but hurted I got up one day and evething made me vomit I tried to pass with not eating felt better then same thing when discharged I was eating they treated my for small bowel obstruction I was ok my biopsy results had not cone back yet but two days later back to er the results my were in that's were the meds came from but no go appointment til10/25 I feel okay but in tur
