Hiya. I'm Isa. 17 years old, diagnosed with Crohn's in April, currently choking down a bottle of Golytely for tomorrow. (Urgh...)

I'm really glad to have found this forum. It's great to read about other people who have gone / are going through the same thing. My mom tries, but she doesn't really get it.

Welcome Isa! I hear the Golytely is super foul. I have done the Gatorade/Miralax prep multiple times. While it is still miserable, I believe I have heard it is not as bad as the Golytely. Next time you have to prep, see if this would be a better alternative.

Um... so. About the colonoscopy.

For those of you who've had it / similar operations, what is it like after you come to? For some reason I'm suddenly and irrationally frightened about the whole drugging thing.

They give you a tiny amount of something to eat and drink. You will have some gas in your system. Sending you support.
