Nickel allergy and IBD?

Does anyone suffering from IBD on this thread also have a nickel allergy? That is, are you sensitive to wearing jewelry, etc? I'm interested in whether or not there is a correlation to nickel allergies and IBD and whether or not medical studies have been done. Most people have stainless steel cookware, usually 18/10 (10% nickel) and cooking in these pots causes nickel to leech out, especially acidic foods for long periods of time. Interested in your feedback.

My mother has a nickel allergy - she has had it her entire life. I have no such problems....

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to check the medical library to see if other studies have been done. If I find anything I'll post the reference.
