So, DD told me this morning that she has been waking up soaked from sweating in her sleep. Can this be related to IBD? Of course, being mom, I consult Dr. Google (which is never good!).

I just want some answers. DD looks so thin and I feel like she will blow away before we get some answers.

You might want to start taking her temp before bed... see if she's getting fevers at night. Is she waking up? Using the bathroom in the middle of the night?

I know she has gotten up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. I took her temp this morning and it was 98.3. I will take it tonight as well.

Before dx my son suffered evening low grade fevers and night sweats it was all part of his IBD. Those we so tough because you just want them to feel better and they seem so drug down the next morning.

Yes . . diarrhea. I think all she ever has is diarrhea. Her scopes are not scheduled until 12/9. I'm not sure what to do between now and then. I feel like I should be doing something but I don't know what!

Yes, night sweats before dx and treatment. Diarrhea that wakes you is also a symptom our GI likes to know about.

Yes, my daughter had terrible night sweats for a while pre-diagnosis, and then for months after, until her treatment really started working. All last winter she used only a sheet on her bed--no blankets--and she would still often have to change clothes in the middle of the night. This year, she's sleeping with a blanket and comforter again.

Sorry you have to wait so long for scopes. My daughter ended up being admitted to the hospital while we were waiting the 6 weeks for her initial GI consult. I wish it hadn't had to reach that crisis point, but it did lead to quick scopes and diagnosis.

Thank the Lord for all of you! Nice to have somewhere to be talked down when I work myself up in a frenzy.

Yes night sweats here and she still has them! Has to change all her clothes, even her underwear, in the middle of the night. M also has low grade fevers with her IBD/JSpA.

My son had daily fevers (normal temp at waking, but increased steadily over the course of the day), and crazy night sweats pre-diagnosis. It was one of his symptoms, and once treatment began they subsided.

Hi i dont have a child with crohns but i have it. I suffer night sweats here n there too. Im in remission but still get them. In my case it could be also linked to the menopause as im old 😀
love n support to you n your children. I know how hard it is to deal with sick kids . I nearly lost my son once or twice when he was a baby n young child. I wish you all the very best n hope things improve greatly for the children n you.💕💋.
