For the past maybe five months, my gut pain has been worse than usual! I’m going to the doctor and trying to get in with someone new, but in the meantime I’ve been struggling with nightly nightmares. I will wake up during the night after having terrible dreams and notice my pain is worse. Obviously I’m trying to improve my crohns to primarily help, but does anyone else have any tips to avoid this? This is happening every single night no matter what I do! Just looking for tips or advice!
I don’t eat right before bed, I take my meds with water before sleeping, and I use the bathroom right before bed. Not sure what else to do!
No new meds since this started, no new lifestyle changes or habits either.
As the pain got worse, so did the nightmares.

I am sorry for what you are going through. I dont have any answers but I am sure there are others here who will.

I'm sorry that you are going through this.

This happens to me as well, and it's mostly because of severe indigestion or bloating. Do you happen to experience any of these while awake?

I find that taking a digestive pill during or before dinner and taking 2 activated charcoal pills after dinner gives me a huge relief, which eventually leads to a better night sleep with no nightmares.

Let me know if this helps.
