Turns out Goodwill only offers Access Health which will not help me get a free gastroenterologist like they said I could get because they have NO specialists! They said it's hard enough to get regular doctors to volunteer to help people. I said well I go to the clinic and the ER and they say that they can't help my Crohns symptoms because I need a Gastro doc, but the thing is I can't shell out ANYTHING because I'm broke so I can't see a gastro doc! Sure they gave me bentyl but that's not a long term drug I can take to get better and Lialda isn't doing it on it's own! So I can't get ANY help..............:(

The only way ER would help is if I'm severely close to death it seems :( Really No HELP AT ALL?

*Don't qualify for medicaid because they're waiting for my disability to go through which could take years.
*I don't pay for this internet service btw!
*My Gastro doc that I can't afford visits to denies me any medication to help me along with LIALDA :(

It looks like you are getting plenty of help. I know there are tons of people who would be very grateful for free medical assistance. In your case, a family/internist doctor can help you as well and is quite capable of prescribing medications. Start there and see what the doctor can do for you to get you better so you CAN work and get you out of this cycle.

Yes a specialist is best but as mentioned a GP can prescribe things like Prednisone (even the ER can). Its cheap and can help you start feeling better along with your other medication. Your GP can at least order blood work so wee what your inflammation markers are and see if the Pred and Lialda are doing anything combined.
