I'm going by NogNog for the holiday season. Egg Nog is yummy lol.
ANYWAYS, I promised an update on my quest to get my extremely low vitamin d levels up.
Supplementing with 50,000 IU of D2 weekly and 2,000 IU D3 daily for several weeks did nothing and I plummeted even more.
For a month now I have taken 10,000 IU D3 daily and Vitamin K2 (MK-7 version) daily. My D levels have doubled!!
I can't pinpoint what's going right because there are a few potential factors:
1. The higher dose and natural D3 supplement may be absorbed better.
2. As some research indicates the K2 version I am taking may be helping with absorption.
3. My crohn's medication is healing my bowels and allowing for better absorption.
It might be all 3 contributing to the success. I still have a ways to go but I'm excited that it's going in the right direction.
If anyone else decides to use D3 & K2 id love to hear if you have success. I'll keep you guys posted.
