????????? Nurse or Gast

Since I told about have Crohns my Gast has changed twice now in process of changed 3rd time now probably is I having slightly swallow and few things as well.

I phone my old gast Dr Silcock because he only number could fine on James Cook Hospital website. I final got throught to someone explain rough version of wants the new gast number but instead I was give Crohns nurse number.

What is very someone opinion now helpful the nurses are? or should just going ask tomorrow when the hospital for phone for new gast?

Quite a lot of us have an IBD nurse, they're usually the first port of call for any problems or questions that you have regarding medication or diet. And yes, they are helpful.
I think the reason for this is the consultants or gastros are quite busy, either in surgery or in consultation.
If you're having difficulties, then you can give the gastro department a ring and ask for an appointment. Failing that, see your GP.

Done GP yesterday, well as I described the symptoms, few time she look alarm so think of what to do still.

I would ring the nurse, they will decide how serious your symptoms appear, and sort out an appointment, probably quicker than you or your GP could get one.

i agree about phoning the gastro nurse - mine has been wonderful when i've had a worry and not had an appointment coming up... if necessary she's got me into that week's flare-up clinic, as she has a direct link with the GI's and their secretaries.

Baruim follow through

Thank you both Astra and dingbat.

Today I had Baruim Follow Through test done, apart from it remind of bubble flavour, and look that 900ml of yuck white stuff.
It started about 9:45am and end 11am so was quick but apparently she had diffcult seperate by colon for x-ray and some of part of small intens with their wooden spoon thing. She ask had pain it certain well she poke me and usual I said to yes to both questions.

Came home when shopping for week food in taken, looking like white sheet and had 3 staff look at me and whisper giggle consumer that sate of sleep and really what to yoyu is going sleep have something to eat.

Phone the nurse still waiting ring bacl but should still ring her ?
