It's prob me just worrying over nothing but thought I'd ask to put my mind at rest!
Long story short I had a MRI scan a year ago which showed I had a few skip lesions and thickening of part of my small intestine. At the time my consultant wanted me to have a pill camera done but said there was a high chance of the camera getting stuck an causing a obstruction, so he refered me to a surgeon for a resection. The surgeon agreed that I will need a resection at some point but probs not for another 1-5 years. I didn't think at the time to ask why, but surely if it will need to come out at some point why not just do it sooner rather then later?
A year on I'm starting to get bad upper abdo pain that comes and gos in waves. (last year it was only discomfort). Some times I'll have a few "wave pains" a day that are that are really painful, and then a few days were I won't have any. I was going to the loo 4-8+ times daily but this week I've been constipated, and a few times I've had that feeling of REALLY needing to go but no being able to pass anything and when I do it's been quite painful diarrhoea with quite a bit of blood and mucus. I'm also quite bloated and been having night sweats. I've been to my gp who has said she has written to the hospital to get me a emergency appointment, which I'm still waiting for.
Has any body been through the same thing?
Thanks for reading!
