Well things with Andrew have been going quite well for a good couple of months and I was cautiously hopeful that we would have a nice peaceful, healthy year for a change. But alas, someone is trying to yank my head out my nice deep sand pile!
I was changing the plaster on Andrew's wound (which is nearly all healed) before he was about to head out to football training, when I saw blood soaked through the plaster :(. The little bit of skin that hasn't healed seems to be pushing out again and bleeding, so now the poor boy is worried and staying at home instead of heading out to train with friends. :voodoo:

Argh!!!!! I hate it when they just seem to settle into feeling better and then get thrown a set back. :voodoo: We have had a similar morning... I feel totally gutted when these things happen. My son, on the other hand seems to roll with it better than I do... :voodoo:

Hope the wound heals up again really fast.

Ugghh... sorry you've been yanked out of the sandpile! :(

I hope it will be quickly resolved and he can get back out there with his buddies!! :sun:

Thanks guys. Thought I had got rid of Mr Stabby for a while :voodoo::voodoo: but it is very therapeutic!! We have our GI appointment next week Wednesday, hoping it will be better by then! Think I might print off some info on the LDN and try again - yeah right
And here I am again, up late with Amy hoping the paracetamol takes effect soon so I can go to bed. Glad they are seeing her next week too.

:ghug: Sorry about the setback. I hate it when the moment you relax, something comes up! Twiggy, it must be a trait of our kids to take these setbacks in stride. I stay much more uptight about a setback or even the "possibility" of one than Ryan does. Thank goodness our kids are resilient!

It's so hard when this dumb illness keeps kids from being kids. I hope he's feeling better soon!!! He's in my thoughts and prayers

Oh no - I hope it is just a very minor set back and it heals up really quick. I hope his appointment next week goes well and I also hope that Amy's appointment goes well to so they can start to figure out a way of helping her - maybe one night you will actually get to sleep the whle night through!
Thinking of you guys! xx

Ha - sleep is for wimps :thumright:. Andrew is fine again, thankfully it was just a little blip (no idea what caused it though). Spoke to the nurse, as usual the request for the MRI has been lost between the 2 hospitals so it's good I chased it up. His blood results are good - haemaglobin going up to normal and liver function is going down to normal. No medication decisions till the MRI is done - yippee. My head is back down into that sandpile

Sooooooooo good to hear that things have settled for Andrew again...:ybiggrin::ybiggrin:

Good luck with your kiddoes appointments next week hun. Sending loads of luck and healing thoughts to you, Andrew and Amy. :ghug::heart::ghug:

Dusty. xxx
