I know I'm barely getting introduced to the boards, and I thank EVERYONE for their responses in my latest/first post..

but I am HAPPY..

:ycool:.. The docs are talking about sending her home today.
last Friday they expected a full week.

I hope HOPE they will release her today!!!

:happydance:

You're right archeodani that calls for dancing bananas and cheerleaders!
:dance::dance::dance::dance:

Ok,, the meds questions start... She's on prednisone 50mg to start, decreasing by 5mg a week till we hit plateaus, then reevaluate - that is my understanding so far.

And Azathioprine.. Can't remember dosage & I don't have the papers in front of me.. I'm waiting for the docs to finish rounds and see us

Baaahahah - at this exact moment she is arguing about taking a shower cause they have to remove her IV. she is not looking forward to that..

Doc & nurses warned us about "roid rage" & possible attitude issues... But this is the daughter who's been missing for MONTHS:dance::dusty::dusty:

Yeah we called them Princess rages here. Grace is 4.

I hope the meds work fast and her gets back to her old self soon...minus the rages.

Hmmm....we are just getting the "rages" now that we are tapering. Either my daughter is slow to catch on or she just really liked her Prednisone and wants that 5mg back!! lol

:ghug:..I hope your daughter is home by now.

Sorry l can't remember..... how old is your daughter ?

:angry-banghead:Grrrrr we are STILL waiting for release

I work graveyard shift and could REALLY use sleep.. Sooooo hoping I'd be in bed by now...

:stinks:

How are things going archaeodani?

Did you get home? I hope so! :ghug:

Dusty. xxx

yep!!! home since Tuesday night, she's doing AWESOME,, had a followup with her primary care doc who was amazed at the change; went and got her a birthday icecream (we are SOOOOO BROKE, I couldn't get her a real gift :( ), and got her new sneakers for school

and she STILL had energy to do stuff - if I'd tried anymore than the doc 2 weeks ago, she'd have passed out

So good to hear mum! :):):) May it keep on keeping on! :dusty::dusty::dusty:

So happy for you,
Dusty. xxx
