oi vey...

:grumpy: For the last few months, i've been doing great!

But then this morning i woke up with pain in my gut. Joy...
I knew something was up when i didn't have much of an appatite last night.
Point being, its time for breakfast now, and although i could very easily not eat instead of worstening my pain by having some sort of breakfast, i know thats not the best way to go.

If you have any suggestions for a low-pain breakfast, please post.

I use rice milk and hot Quinoa flakes, there is nothing in it to irritate the gut. Or packaged oatmeal which is safe. Easier to tell what not to eat. NO wheat, or eggs or bacon. Or as Kelly says white toast and they have a a new vegan margarine from Becel, no lactose or gluten but seeing as where you are from I doubt you may have some of these things. Hang in there.

Even before I got sick, I have never been a breakfast person. I always feel nauseous if I eat before 10 or 11 AM. So I just have an Ensure or some such similar type of drink in the morning, it's mild enough that I don't get nauseous, and it's got enough nutrients and calories to keep me going until I am able to eat solid foods. I just switched from regular Ensure to the high-protien stuff and that seems to give me a little more energy. If I actually do have an appetite in the morning (very rarely), I'll have either a plain english muffin or a banana. Good luck, I hope you feel better soon.

hi Dras.... when my gut plays up i immediately avoid normal foods and eating routines and just go on to very soft foods.. breakfast is often just a yoghurt or a couple of cream crackers with something spreadable on.

i hope this episode passes quickly for you.
