I have been venting A LOT lately it seems. This morning I got up, was gonna be a normal, nothing going on day till later this afternoon. 8 am Primary docs office calls to change my appointment tomorrow.. ok, no biggy I can go today.. Then my son is literally crying on my shoulder because he didnt sleep last night and cant or does not want to go to school. Ok kid is staying home. The thing about my son is he has febrile seizures so whenever he is under the weather I worry about him seizing.

So I call my mother in law, get her on notice A is home alone sick for an hour. Go to the doctors, have a virus, no humira for a few weeks (GRRR). Walking out I notice my brand new (less than 3000 miles on it) car has a flat tire. Totally flat! So thank god goodyear was next door. Took car to tire shop, 2 hours later they have found a hole that cannot be repaired. They order a tire, stick my spare on and I am on my way to go back tomorrow. This is the Second tire I have replaced on my car that is not 6 months old. My husband will be home early to get his eyes checked, I have to go with him.. and tomorrow is my husbands work Christmas Party.. I still have steroid crankies, bloated and acne.. plus now a virus.. BLAH BLAH BLAH. :crab::grumpy:

Sounds like a rough day! I hope everybody in your family is feeling better soon (including you). Maybe pamper yourself with some tea or a bath or TV time? Something not (too) unhealthy that makes you feel good (I have a tendency to go with Cherry Coke, which is no good for me).

You poor thing, and this time it isn't even the dog's fault! ;) Wow, so much going on, you're sick, your son is sick, your car is sick. I hate when everything piles up like that at once! Do you have to go to your husband's work party or can you stay home and rest? I hope tomorrow is better for you! Hey, look on the bright side, at least it isn't snowing there! (It's coming down in buckets here. 2 to 4 inches tonight and another 4 to 10+ on Saturday - whoopee.)

Sorry your day sucked, it's definitely time for some you-time! Maybe have hubby give you a massage? Some hot chocolate usually does the trick for me,too.

I personally sequester myself when I'm grumpy from steroids because I've been known to have some very loud, very public meltdowns when I'm tapering and try to force myself to act nice lol.

Don't know if it's out of the question-can you skip the party? You really need to get back to 100% so you can take the Humira, and you might spread whatever virus you have. I had to skip a dose of Remicade and 3 shots of MTX, and right now I'm paying dearly for it with the mother of all flares, and possible c. diff to go with it. So please do what you can to care for yourself-everything but your little one can hold for a bit.

Feel free to vent away-I think we've all earned it! Sending hugs!

Thanks everyone. It helps knowing you guys care!

With Ricks Christmas Party I am working on getting out of it.. its a big thing we find out the bonuses etc. I need to just sleep but who knows when I will actually sleep more than a few hours without sweating buckets, waking up wet. But for now I need to go to the store for a space heater for my cousin. blah

When it rains, it pours huh? Geez, Nica. Well, hopefully your son is feeling better today. And hopefully you can get out of the xmas party. That way you can have some quiet time. And even if you're not getting sleep... I hope you can at least relax on a couch and zone out of the stress. Remember to focus on you. If you're not doing well, you can't help your cousin or son. :) Let us know how today works out for ya.

Oh boy, bad dose of the crap hitting you all at once. I know the Christmas party is a big deal, my husband has parties like that too. Due to the confirmed virus maybe you could get out of it? If you are sick both of you will not have any fun at all. Maybe your husband could just say that for the sake of everyone's health you stayed home? Rock and hard spot, I know. Good luck and I hope you feel better very quickly!

Michele

We went with because of the virus I can't go. He is gonna make a showing and come home. It stinks, but it is what it is. I am going to curl up with a good book and or watch a chick flick with my cousin.
