Hi, I'm new to this site and was wondering if some one could help me.

I have had crohns desease for 9 years now, have had my share of complications and most resently have undergone bowel resection that lead to an iliostomy that 2 weeks ago i had reversed..
With my bowels returning to normal i find myself going to the bathroom a dozen or so times a day, (not fun) and was wondering if anyone else has had this done, and if they will decrease over time??
Also was wondering if leaking from the stoma site was normal.. if anyone can help me with this i would greatly appreciat it.. thanx in advance..

Wow Don, I hope leaking from the stoma site isnt normal after a reversal? I dont know, but I'm sure alot of folks on here do. I HAVE heard that the bowels opening a dozen or more times a day to begin with is normal, but I do think you should ring your GP or GI office to make sure just in case with both issues. Welcome to the forum!

It might be helpful to know exactly what was resected and how much was removed? Was it small bowel or Colon?

Is the leaking from the old stoma site stool? Or just "normal" post surgery wound leakage? That would usually be a pink or red type of fluid.
