Posting this just so I can read the medical marijuana section...1 post minimum

Might as well introduce myself tho, I'm Chris and I was diagnosed with UC 4 years ago when I was 18 after a colonoscopy, spent a year period on two different prescriptions with little relief. Not long after tho I started experimenting with marijuana and haven't looked back since... I'm just researching my other options now and the legality of it all.

I have a feeling the marijuana treatment method is frowned upon by most people but I really don't care what you may think as long as I'm not stuck to the can all day I'm happy!

Hi Chriscol and welcome to the forum. MJ is looked down on by some, by there are a lot of people who feel that it works. My thoughts are that, if it's illegal, we've got a problem. I know of some people that get a prescription for Maritol. Check with your GI. There are doctors that will do it for you.

I'm glad you've joined us. This is a very informative site. But it's also a great place to come for support when needed. I hope you find that people here understand what you're going through, and we do our best not to judge others. :hug: We're all in this together. It's too tough a battle to face alone.

it depends on the people. I am very positive regarding it, I started smoking because of my UC. Room mate has Crohn's and that's why she started.

A lot of it depends on the location where you live and regional views.
