If it is sometimes caused by crohns/fistulous crohns? I am feeling the worst pain right now, in the exact spot where I had an ovarian cyst the size of a golf ball about removed four years ago. The thing is they had no idea it was there, until they did the ileosectomy and located and removed it during the surgery. Anyway, I was able to differentiate that pain from crohns pain at the time but doctos did not listen since they figured it was appendicitis, which i had, but I can tell the difference where my ovaries are. I am getting a pelvic xray or something for it. I have a fistula already....anyway I just also want to know if there is any use in taking tylenol for this sort of pain, and if any other crohnies have had to deal with this additional sort of burden?

I recall another person on the forum mentioning having a similar issue. Unfortunately I believe she had to have a hysterectomy. I can't remember who it was exactly but I believe its been mentioned on the forum more than once. Sorry I'm not much help.

I too have cysts and endometriosis...I always have problems with mine. Tylenol doesn't ever help me. Hopefully things will get better for you...Good Luck!

Before I got my CT that showed inflammation in my TI, they thought ovarian cyst was the most likely (after appendicitis) cause of my pain. Luckily thus far I haven't had any to go along with the rest of my problems. Although I would have preferred it to a Crohn's diagnosis!

Can't believe it was the size of a golf ball! That must have been painful. I can't answer if Tylenol would help but maybe just try some and see if you feel any better?

I hope they figure it out soon and are able to help you out with it.

I had one that started out that size and grew to be the size of a pineapple. I mistook it for crohns but got into my GI right away who got me into a gyne right away and away we went. They removed it and found a bit of cancer in it. I was battling cysts, endo, and crohns for years before that. My abdomen was a mess. Tylenol didn't help. Anaprox 550 mg helped. Not when that sucker was the size of fruit though...
Had a hysterectomy and kissed a lot of pain good bye.

I had an ovarian cyst the size of a large grapefruit removed ( along with the ovary ) about 25 years ago. My pain is mainly right sided, but had spread to the left before I was diagnosed with Crohn's. The first consultant I saw said that there might be adhesions from this surgery and that the Crohn's is possibly involved.
Have a CT scan on Tuesday, mainly to find out why I'm having bladder problems ( gastro thinks it's Crohn's related ) so I'm hoping it will show a bit more about what's going on in there!
