Pain during intercourse.....

ok - this is the post I referred to in my 'other' one.....

In the past, there has been some discomfort, nothing my gynae has said anything about.....however, the other night, I actually was in PAIN during the deed - it was a 'deep' pain.....and now has me thinking 'what could be wrong'...from adhesions to who-knows-what......

Anyone else experienced this type of pain, and if so, what the outcome was?.....

I'm thinking I want to get my upper GI pain dealt with first - then see about the other.....and/or see if I have the same problem next time. My husband is very considerate of me.....but I don't want to cut him off!

It was worse 'doggie style' - but uncomfortable with me on my back too......I also tried to adjust a bit, which has worked in the past, but didn't work this last time.....speed didn't seem to matter - or thrust power........ lol...that is also hubbys' favorite position...tee hee....

I did mention at my last gynae appt (in the spring) that I had some discomfort, but it wasn't like this last time.......

No birth control - hubby had HIS tubes 'tied' a few years ago.......and still doesn't let me forget what he sacrificed! :ylol:

Don't think I'll be able to give a 'report' or update for at least a few days lol....hubby is working evenings, and the way my upper belly feels - I'm not doing ANYTHING in bed besides sleep!

I don't embarass easily - so ask away with questions!

Does it hurt right from the start, or start to hurt more as time goes by? And where exactly does it hurt?

Doesn't generally hurt to start - and it is an interior (deep) pain.....kind of between the pubis and belly button - closer to belly button.....in fact, I'm tender in that abdominal area right now...was just feeling to see if there was any discomfort.....and, I took 500mg of Lortab (Tylenol w/codeine) about an hour and a half ago!...so I shoul;dn't be feeling much of anything!

I think I'm falling apaaaaaaarrrttt.......

Not sure but since you are having abdo discomfort you may need to decrease the depth of penetration. I don't know what positons you are using but probably best to stick to those that give you a bit of control over that. (((shrug)))?????

oh - DUH.....I DID have a c-section almost 6 years ago.....had active fistulas at the time...started Remicade that following fall.....

just sucks that it seems to never end...feel better with one thing, another rears its' ugly head.....

What has be a bit concerned is 'everything' that seems to be popping up.....the abd discomfort/pain, this issue.....the rash not going away.....had strep 2x this year after not remembering when I had it last.......

At least my colon looks good!

I, too, have pain with intercourse. Not as bad at what you are describing, (but my hubby isn't that long.... has more girth than length).

I didn't think too much about it (I actually thought maybe I was just tightening from not have intercourse very often), but after recent visits with my gynae, and him not being able to do a tubal via laproscope due to pelvis being FULL of adhesions, I asked him if that was possibly why I was uncomfortable having intercourse. He suspected that was exactly the reason, and one way to know for sure was after they do my surgery in Nov and clear out the adhesions, to see how sex feels after that.... (not that I will be having sex right away, but by the time I am ready, the adhesions should not have grown back yet.... lol ).....

Anyway, that was a long convoluted answer (sorry), but yeahhhh... adhesions would be one of my first guesses.....so as you said, if it was uncomfortable before you could have adhesions.... and maybe...possibly.... one of them let go this last time and you felt it..... :shrug:
