I was diagnosed with Crohn's for the first time at 53. My most recent colonoscopy showed no inflammation, but, I am still experiencing pain and fatigue. To a lesser degree - far lesser- than when originally diagnosed, but still there.

Is it possible to have active Crohn's without having inflammation?

The pain may be due to inflammation in an area that cannot be seen via colonoscopy - like nearly all of the small bowel.

Has your small bowel been assessed recently via MRE or capsule camera?

That makes very good sense. No- my small bowel hasn't been assessed. My pain has always been on my lower right side even though the visible inflammation was substantial at the illness ileum

Thank you!
