I thought we were going to end up in emerg tonight. Devynn was having really bad pains in her stomach. Pain was 8 on a scale of 1-10 She took some tylenol (that's when I KNOW its bad) and lied down with her rice bags. Pain was coming and going for about an hour, but she seems to have fallen asleep. Going to go catch some Zzz's while I can. I wish I could take her pain away. It hurts watching your child suffer. Praying she sleeps through and whatever it was doesn't come back. Curse you IBD!

Oh no.....so sad to hear Devynn is in pain, and you too. Would that we COULD take their pain and make it ours! Sorry, I've been out of the loop for a while, but is this something that happens with her periodically or do you think she is flaring? I hope she feels better in the morning and it can be nipped in the bud.

Oh no so sorry to hear she was having pains! I hope that both of you guys are able to get some sleep and that the pain subsides!

Thank you awmom, she tossed and turned and moaned and groaned all night, but she is up and getting ready for school. I don't know if this was just a fluke thing. I am hoping!

Thank you Clash, she had a restless sleep, but is up and getting ready for school :)

Thank you Dusty, she seems ok this morning. She said she doesn't feel 100%, but she's getting ready for school. That has to be a good sign! ;)

Hope this was a one off! Haven't seen many posts from you hoping that all is generally good with both of you. How is she doing at school now?

Getting ready for school when she's not feeling great - what a trooper. Bless her. :ghug:

Hugs to both of you.

Do you think it's stress related for her because of what you've been going through?

BTW My MIL test positive ALL the time but is negative in the x-rays. She has carried a written note before to jobs stating that she does not have TB.

I think I spoke to soon. The cramps and tears are back, but she insisted on going to school. She is so set on not missing any school this year. My fingers are crossed that she will get through the day and that the pains will go away.

Niks, she is LOVING the new school! Making new friends etc. She said it doesn't feel like school because its so much fun. :) She's a trooper thats for sure. I just started a new job yesterday, and can't carry my phone at work. I'm going to let them know she's not well and I will be carrying it on vibrate just in case.

Farmwife, hmmm you may have a point. I didn't really think about stress. She is loving the new school, having so much fun. She's making friends and even had a boy ask her to go steady!:ywow: She's 12 years old! I told her no way! They can be friends, but there will be no dating until she's 16. But I have also just started a new job and with the TB scare etc, I guess maybe she could be a bit stressed. She SEEMS fine.. but you never know.

I was told, not all stress is because of bad stress but yet the body can act the same to each kind. Excitement Stress is what I call it now.

Kind of like Grace and starting school. She was so happy but still is having a small flare.

That makes sense and now that you mention it, I think we have noticed that even when she's excited she sometimes feels unwell :(
