Im new to this whole Crohns thing. I just want to know what others feel pain wise or what I feel is the same for you guys. Do you get this unbearable pain when you realize you have to go to the bathroom? When it hits me I gets this horrible pain that pretty much makes it hard for me to breathe.. so I use the bathroom which of course is ALWAYS diarhea.. then when Im done I feel like i ran a marathon or something. I feel so exhausted!! Along with I feel like my intestines are gonna explode from my stomach. Do any of you actually feel your intestines expand? or at least feel your tummy bloat up? Yesterday i had the worst hot flash i guess it was.. cause i got so hot and sweaty and felt dizzy.. glad I sat down or i would of passed out. I get that feeling alot. Along with lately my muscles/joints are really bothering me. My knees are the worse.. I cant sit crossed legged for very long at all. The last few days I feel like I pulled a muscle in my lower back but it got a little better but now I wake up with my leg muscles hurting like I worked out really hard last night but I didnt do anything but sit on the couch!! My back pain had moved up to my shoulder blade area.. but my lower back hurts still when i move a certain way. I wasnt diagnosed yet with Crohns but i had gone to the ER for bloody diarhea for 2 weeks straight and it was just blood and the er doc said I had crohns from the whatever scan I had done. That was 3 months ago and I still get blood in my diarhea but not as bad as those weeks. I dont have insurance so i cant see a GI doc yet or afford a coloscopy. So I just want to make sure in your eyes I have Crohns and you guys get the same problems.

Wow, I'm so sorry you are having such a hard time. I can't diagnose you with Crohn's, but it sure does sound like it. I really want to encourage you to go to a doctor. Even if you go see a family physician, you need to be checked out. I don't want you to end up really ill and hospitalized. You can Google 'low cost' or ' sliding scale' clinics in your area. You really should be on some sort medication. Please go get checked out.

Wow, sorry to hear you can't get any care. That really sucks, I hope you can get some meds and relief soon.

Most of my pain occurs right after I eat and right after I use the bathroom and randomly in the middle of the night. When it hits me it is pretty crippling. At times the pain gets so intense I get really nauseous and have to lay down.

Now I am on Percocet for the pain which is a big relief. I was on Vicodin but they were to weak, so now the Percocet.

When I was not in the middle of flare like I am now I rarely had any pain or D.

Pretty much what CrohnsHobo said. Most of my pain comes after I eat and randomly in the middle of the night.
When I get severe cramping it's crippling and I have to curl into a little ball on the floor and I can't move.
When I get pains like that I normally lay down in a hot shower. That way I am close to the toilet and the hot water is comforting. Plus it masks my terrible pooping noises.

My back constantly hurts underneath my right shoulder blade and my docs haven't given me any pain meds so I just pop tylenol all day and it doesn't work very well.

Sometimes I get really bad joint aches when I am going through really sick periods. They are more predominant in my ankles and my hip.

Can't say anything about bloody poop though. Never had it thankfully.

It's crazy how so much pooping can take the energy right out of a person.

Sometimes it feels like my intestines are making balloon animals out of themselves. Like they are twisting and expanding. My stomach also gets really bloated at times and its painful to have anything just brush up against it.

I usually only get the "hot flash" type feeling when I have extreme urgency to poop. It's like my whole body gets really hot and I start to sweat and the whole time I am on the toilet I am sweating.

Lately I have the feeling like I have really bad diarrhea but nothing comes out. I run to the bathroom with cramps and everything but its like nothing is even in there!

I hope you start feeling better and can get in to see a doctor. Can you get state assistance?
