There is a difference
Social security already recognized kids with Ibd as disabled that is why they qualify for medical assistance in most states regardless of income.
And ssi based on income.
This states everyone considers folks with Ibd disabled -
So not necessarily something kids need as kids
But maybe as adults if they are severe and not able to work
But again that still varies by state

I worry about the future. As I posted on my FB page, if DS were to miss as many work days as he did school days while flaring... it wouldn't be good.

Yup. This is what is screwing me over right now because I'm in the middle of a disability appeal and turning 26 in less than 2 months and I don't have a job. Texas is one of the 18 states that did not expand their Medicade laws. Go us.
