So I had the last of my rectum and everything down there removed in my mid 20's. I'd occasionally feel like I had to go the the loo over the years.
Since my last surgery 13 months ago I've packed on a lot of weight. Now I'm getting a lot of pain down there.

Tell me if this seems reasonable. I'm wondering if there is a pelvic floor issue.

Any thoughts. Nothing is working to stop the pain. I'm going on5 days and I can barely move at times.

From what I understand phantom rectum is the urge to go when you can't go that way but pain doesn't sound normal. Could you have an abscess or fistula there? I think you should get it checked out.

I was in to see the IBD nurse. Last week. She suggested sitz bath with warn water to see if that helps. It comes and goes like the urge to go. But painful. Guess I'll give it a week and call back.

It doesn't feel like an abscess or fistula. Basted on my last X-ray there's no bowel in that area.
