Hi Melissa :welcome: I have had many full and partial bowel obstructions and just was in ER Wednesday night from a partical obstruction. IN my earlier diagnosis, I was in the hospital alot. If you have bad acute pain and you are not having any bm you could be having a partial bowel obstruction. Get someone to lay their head on your intestinal area and see if it is moving. If there is little or you become nauseated or vomit, you may have to go to the ER. It bothered me about 6 hours before I couldnt take it any more.

Please go to the ER if it is still hurting. Mine got worse and I did vomit green stuff but no food. I had an xray and they saw something there, the pain did get worse.

What kind of meds are you on? If your crohns is so bad has he mentioned surgery? Let us know how you are doing. Hugs.

When I had my obstruction I couldn't handle people touching my stomach, or even the pressure that my pants waistband was putting on my tummy. When the doctor went to feel my stomach I was literally pushing his hand off because the pain was so bad. After that he told me to go straight to emergency. Some other symptoms I had at the time were nausea, complete lack of appetite, lightheadedness and a fever and chills.
It is different for everyone though, so if you really think something is wrong, go to the ER. Another option is making an emergency appointment with your GI if you can get one and letting them check you out, they will tell you to go to the ER if it is bad.

I'm on Humira. I've been on it for about 3 months. When i get really stressed out, i have a flare up. I woudl think that the medication would work for it all. i just feel like it's not really doing anything. oh i'm also on mesalime (sp?) it's getting really frustrating. Thanks for the advice though!
