Please if you alll could respond. I have Crohns and am on 100 mg of AZA. I have rib/sternum pain and was wondering if anyone else has this. My back also hurts. The other problem is I have pain on my left side when my crohns is on my right. I only use the bathroom once a day. My Dr finally got back to me about my pill cam 2 weeks ago and said it looked like things were healing. But I dont feel they are. My muscles seem to ache also.

I cannot help with the rib pain. But I have bad joint aches and pains also. I just wanted to say welcome and hopefully people would be able to help you on here further with the other areas of pain that you are experiencing.

I've had rib/chest pain but mine was more towards the bottom of my left ribcage, almost where the large intestine runs...what kind of pain is it?

Hi Mary and welcome to the forum.

Sorry I can't help you with the rib/sternum pain..
But when I think about it I have had left sided pain, right sided and just about anywhere...
we have to remember that crohn's runs the length of the intestinal system..
from the mouth to the anus..so having pain in other areas is quite possible.

Plus there is also Crohn's arthritis which I have.

Mary, I have never had the rib/sternum pain either...Just the joint aches and pains. I'm sorry your feeling so ill right now.

So sorry to hear about all your aches and pains. It's a terrible experience you are going through and let's all hope things get better soon.

Pain in the left lower quadrant could be any of a number of things. I'm not really in a position to diagnose, so make sure your doctor knows.

Ribcage pain could be tied to your back pain. Are you stooped over a lot? That sometimes puts pressure on your ribs. I know it does for me. I'm constantly after myself to maintain proper posture.
