Positive PPD and imuran

I've been fighting a flare up for about 4 months now, currently taking only Asacol. I'm awaiting to hear back from my doctor regarding my recent flex sigmoidoscopy results, but we have discussed Imuran in the past and I believe this is going to be the next step for me. My question is, I do test positive with a ppd test, however my chest x-ray is always clear. Will I need to be treated for TB despite the clear x-ray before starting Imuran? Thank you.
