right started the treatment for prednisolone, 40mg for 1st 5 days the reduce by one tablet each week, my worry is im already a biggish girl size 16 in the uk and reading up about it is that i will gain alot of weight?surely this isnt going to be health for me?iv seen alot of skinner people get rather big from it and well tbh im very proud of my apperance and its taken me along time to loose alot of weight im just not keen on gaing again and then the long suffering of loosing it all again!How long does it take to start gaining the weight im only going to be on these for 8 weeks.xxx

I'm usually on a cycle for 6 weeks of 40 mg, sometimes 60 mg and I never gain a lot of weight from prednisone (prednisolone in the UK). Just eat the things you normally do, and drink a lot of water, that'll cut down on your appetite. I always had the worst case of the munchies and I found that drinking water and eating a lot of lean protein helped stave it away. For the record when I'm on pred I don't do any physical activity and I eat high calorie foods. I will note that I am usually pretty underweight when they break out the pred, but even so I never gain much though my face will fluff up to look like a moon.

oh my see i just dont want to gain so much weight that i look huge again, specially my face, how long does it take to get moon face on average?and how long does it take to bugger off lol xx
