prednisone issues

I have been off prednisone for about 3 months now and im still loosing hair, any ideas on when this will stop, and is there any treatments to grow my hair back???

From what I read Remicade can cause hair loss so maybe you've been getting a double whammy from it and the Prednisone. Yes your hair will grow back. If you're still retaining any water from the Prednisone then it may take a while for the hair to grow back (this is what my GI told me back when I was a kid and losing my hair while taking high doses of Prednisone). I know salons carry a few different lines of hair growth formulas so maybe you could try there but unfortunately I don't know of any besides Rogaine.

Thanks crabby! That makes alot of sense, i was on an extremely high prednisone dose. What other medications help with the crohns if you've been taking remicade? My doc thinks i've built up antibodies against the remicade, been having some bad infections lately. Thanks.

I've taken Asacol and 6MP together and that worked for me for a while but when a bad flare would come on then I'd be put on Entocort or Prednisone (I opt for Entocort first personally, less side effects). Now that I'm in remission though I just take 6MP.

Sorry whats 6mp? My doc hasn't mentioned that one. He told me if i start having problems with the remicade then he wants to put me on either humira, or some medication that starts with an m that i cannot pronounce.
