Hey all,

I still have not got a proper diagnosis, one is saying crohns and another ibs. Biopsies were clear and follow thru was clear just reflux. On my cat scan first day there was thickening of bowel n them at colonoscopy that part was fine and it was more near my small intestine. I was diagnosed with crohns on appearance and symptoms and put on pentasa. So now I am off all meds and must go for yet another colonoscopy because they think it may be ulcerative coilitis.

Anywhoo, I am just after discovering I am pregnant. I am 5 weeks now n think I am beginning a flare as have the runs 5 times this morn n came home from work as I feel so Ill. I have just phoned my doc to let her know in case there is anything I shoul b doin etc.

I was pregnant 2 years and I had v bad diahorra for the first couple of weeks. My doctor that time took no notice of it as I'd say he thought a lot of this was in my head etc.

Sry for t long winded post but wanted to give some back ground first.

Thanks

Hey Minky! You've got a lot on your plate right now it sounds like.

Definitely let your docs know you are pregnant! They can't do certain scans and things if you are. The upside of being pregnant (besides having a precious little one on the way!), is it may propel your docs to diagnose you and get you on treatment sooner.

If you do have Crohn's, I've read many places that it's important for you to be your healthiest carrying the child and the 1st trimester is when you should be the most aggressive in treating your condition, especially if you are in a flare.

Good luck with your pregnancy! I hope your docs can get the medical stuff figured out soon for you. :)

First off, CONGRATULATIONS on being pregnant!! That is great.

Second, I really hope that they can help you start to feel better. I hear it is very important to try and be healthy while pregnant.
