probiotics

My wife, who is the Crohn's sufferer strongly believes in probiotics. She takes a few and says they help a lot.

I saw this on the web and it actually made me hopeful for all you Crohn's and Colitis people. I'm not saying you should run out and try them, and this is not an endorsement (all restrictions may apply, actual mileage may vary, void where prohibited by law).
Still, I thought it was interesting and gave a little hope:

I have had Crohns for years and nothing has worked until I used VSL#3 450 billion bacteria, twice a day, and I eat yogurt also. Works for me!

@Peaches.
Yep... still in the "wait and see" mode. On the other hand, probiotics are getting pretty well accepted and more common. It's all about having hope...

@Jettalady: ever try Kefir? my wife loves it. You can buy it at any natural food store or any significantly larger grocery store. It's basically like Yogart in a glass -- almost, but not quite as thick -- but it has a few really good things in there.
