I have made a decision that I have been seen by enough doctors, been misdiagnosed, under diagnosed, over diagnosed and diagnosed just right. I have been poked, prodded, cultured, palpated, squished , scraped, and biopsied. I have seen pictures of my internal organs whether I liked it or not. I have had enough procedures, surgeries and peed in enough cups, had my blood drawn to the point of feeling like I needed a transfusion and had my "stuff" looked at by enough pathologists.
I have been ultrasound and echoed, I have been ekg'd and ercp'd I've been scoped in every conceivable place a scope can go. And I know anything that ends in "opy" I am not going to like. I have been under medicated, over medicated and everything in between. I have obtained a medical degree by watching discovery health. I have taken enough prednisone that it was hard to tell whether I was human or a helium balloon. I have swallowed enough pills in cluding one in a lead container carried by a guy in a lead apron.
I am now injecting myself in the stomach every other week with some kind of
medication that I have no idea what's in it. The last stuff had mouse protien in
it that I was allergic to so I decided not to ask this time.
And what has this gotten me? I believe I deserve to be paid for being a patient. I have spent enough time waiting and allowing medical doctors to "practice" their chosen field.
They should be paying me! ALOT of money. I have crohn's disease and fibromyalgia. Two conditions that require ALOT of practice. I should get a time
card and get it punchedevery time I go. Much like you get a ticket validated at the mall for parking. Once a month I send in my timecard and get a nice check in the mail a few days later
This is my idea of health care reform. I can't get disability so might as well get paid!
