Just curious if your IBDers have sensitive stomachs. Do they get car sick easily? Can they ride rollercoasters? Do they vomit on airplanes? That kind of thing.

Funny you ask because my Gracie has always been really car sick. It was extra bad just last weekend when we drove 9 hours to visit family -- she vomited several times. On the way home we have her Dramamine which seemed to help. My brother who has crohn's was the same way.

Jack gets carsick after anything longer than an hour in the car. Hates rollercoasters. Airplanes are fine although I don't think he has been in a plane for longer then an hour since before dx so who knows there.
Horrible sea sickness. He really was green!
We also do dramamine which helps with the car sickness but not the sea sickness.

More than 30 minutes in a car used to make A heave but she seems to have outgrown that. Plane rides make her sick but theme park rides do not. She can't wait to be 48 inches so she can ride some of the bigger rides.
My non-IBD child used to get sick on long car rides but outgrew that around 2 years old. Nothing else ever made her sick.

Andrew feels funny on long car journeys but otherwise fine. He loves rollercoasters and most other rides. Most of our holidays invole theme parks :)

C loves flying, doesnt care for roller coasters and sleeps on any car ride over 20 minutes. When he was yoinger, field trip bus rides made him sick.

My son can't handle rides that spin in circles, but most coasters are ok. Airplanes and car rides are fine, but he can't read in the car without feeling queasy.

LJ hates amusement parks, and rides...meanwhile we live 20 minutes from a great park:lol:
He used to be fine in the car, could even read in the car, but now has a harder time and gets REALLY drowsy

Long car rides make her feel sick and she doesn't want to eat or drink her shakes. She is too scared of coasters to try. Flying makes her nervous and that makes her sick, but I don't know of other queasiness. She rarely vomits.

My son gets car sick often. Can't ride on amusement park rides. Boats cause motion sickness. Lately cramps make him vomit frequently. He has an easy gag reflex

Johnny has never had a problem in cars, boats, planes, or amusement park rides. He vomited once in the middle of dinner right before he was diagnosed but felt no nausea at the time. I think the crohn's in his stomach did make things come back up more easily but it was almost like a reflex rather than any sort of motion sickness.
