Hey guys, So im back again. And I have a few question about remission for those whove been in it. When in remission, is it possible to not take any pills or medicin at all and be ok for years? And also, does it just happen randomly or do you need to put your crohns into remission? Because I dont think ive been in remission yet within the 6 years ive known ive had crohns, its always been off and on. Like fine for a few months then a flare here and there, but never fine for a year or so at a time. And now that im on remicade, I was wondering if remission would ever be possible.

Thanks.

And PS. An update on myself is im doing well, just a few flares here and there. And I am entering my senior year at college now and college has been bumpy with crohns but I am getting through it.

Not sure what happened to my reply so I will try again...

Hi Ethan,

I am glad you are doing well. I remember going through school and dealing with Crohn's disease and it isn't easy. Good Luck.

I have been med free for years now. I have good days and bad days with regards to BMs but that was the same as when I was on Mesasal. I think that will always be the case and will always be normal for me. I haven't had any major flare ups. I went off my meds with GI supervision when I wanted to fall pregnant and have been off pretty much ever since. That is about 7 years. I did have trouble when I was pregnant but not a flare up.
