Hello,

I'm currently trying to follow a low FODMAP diet with varying degrees of success.

I'm after ideas for quick lunches that are high in protein, low in fat and are also low in FODMAPs.

High proteins is preferred for muscle building, low fats as my stomach can't handle much fat and the low FODMAPs for the sugars/lactose which also upsets my stomach.

Any ideas what i could make for lunch?

The only ideas i had was salads with a bit of chicken tossed in. Hot lunches aren't an option either as i'm an outdoor worker with no access to a microwave and its also reaching 40 degrees Celsius (104f) here.

If you have any ideas or recipes as to what else i could make for lunch or what i could add to my salads to meet my requirements it would be greatly appreciated.

Try almond butter, pumpkin seeds, quinoa, brown rice, hemp protein powder. A cold salad/stir-fry with appropriate vegies using the quinoa or brown rice. Almond butter and bacon sandwiches are good, albeit different. Sprinkle the hemp powder on salad or mix in a drink? Good luck. 40 C ewwww, I prefer -40 C.

Going to second the hemp protein powder if money isn't an issue. And for lunch I either have noodles, or rice and tuna.

You could always make a lentil soup too, since you can keep that in a thermos if you want.
