Random nausea?

I get random bouts of nausea and they suck! It can last from 30 min to 2 hours on average. Longer bouts of nausea are only if something is def wrong. I don't know what causes the random ones but I use ginger, peppermint tea and if needed Zofran when I feel like puking out my insides.

Ive heard of using pep. tea and ginger does it work really well for you? Might go get some

It helps a little. I wouldn't say 'really well' because for that I need Zofran which takes an hour to kick in.

I have nausea 24/7. The best things I have found are medications like Zofran and Phenergan, but even that is iffy. Ginger mints, ginger ale, lemonade, ice cubes, even just some salt on your tongue can help a bit. Drink a lot of fluids, because nausea can be caused by dehydration.

I too suffer from chronic nausea. Phenergan is the only thing that works. My Crohn's is limited to the entrance of small intestine. The Crohn's has eaten away the part of the small intestine that digest nutrients. I also have Bile Acid Malabsorption. I'm just now learning as much as I can about the condition as it took 8 months to diagnose.

Is this normal and part of the Crohn's disease and I need to learn to live with it? I have had to take a FLMA leave because of the nausea.

Any information you can share would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

I wouldn't say nausea with Crohn's is normal, but it is fairly common. Especially if the disease is in the upper GI tract.
