How many of you are on remicade? and how is this working for you!
Ive just started. and is wondering about your stories!?

@ all from Québec:
In which interval are you guys taking Remicade after the induction phase? Every 8 weeks or 6 - 8 weeks? I have no clear idea on that as I was not able to find any further information... Appreciated if one of you could help me out with a reliable source where I can find the information I am looking for :)

Thank you very much for your support!

Benjamin

Ben- typically they will start you on every 8 weeks after induction and then move them closer together if necessary. About a year and a half after I started the remicade infusions, I was moved up to every 4 weeks.

I started Remicade last summer. I have loved it, felt great. However, after my last infusion I had some bleeding. My doctor is doing another colonoscopy to see what is going on. He is hoping I haven't developed a resistance to it. I was really hoping it would work for me....hope it works for you. I've met several people who have had it for many years and no problems

I've been taking Remicade for just over a year. After about 6 months I was bumped to every 6 weeks. I find it works wonderfully for my pain but hasn't really regulated my bathroom visits....I'm still going to the bathroom (what feels like) 100 times a day, which I'm sure is also related to my eating habbits that I'm still struggling to manage.
The only side effects I experienced were dry scalp, nausea, weakness. I only had the nausea for the first 4-5 treatments and the dry scalp was managed by switching shampoos/conditioners. I still experience the weakness, specifically just very tired/run down afterwards. I usually plan for a pretty mellow day afterwards.
I know someone else that has just been taken off of it as it seems to have made his crohns symptoms worse, however I don't know the specifics on his situation, I know he wasnt eating well at all so it may have just been fighting against him.
Hope that helps :) Best of luck! Hope you have a good experience with it!
