Remicade

Had my 6th remicade infusion today and experienced moderate reaction. Developed shortness of breath, hives, itching hands and feet, and numbness to mouth and face. Anyone else experience anything similar to this?

My son was in remicade for over 2 years then stopped for surgery and when he started back he had a reaction on the second and third infusion. They did an antibodies level test and it was high so he had to stop the med. His was chest and throat tightness and flushing.

Some people have reactions without antibodies and require a premeditated like solumedrol or pred. Of course, some people build antibodies w/o a reaction as well.
