My doctor says I'm in remission, and I'm like, is that so, because I don't feel any better.
I still have a lot of stomach aches, and I have to drink a lot of formula (ensure) every day, because it's one of the only things that that doesn't make me sick.:poo::poo: :puke_r:
I was diagnosed a year ago, and so far I feel like crohn's is a curse on my life, it doesn't allow me to do anything I want to do or anything fun.
I bet a lot of people are asking the question I ask myself every day, "Why Me?"
:well:

That doesn't sound much like remission to me. I understand about not doing anything fun. I never want to sleep over at friends in case I have super bad stomach pains which happen to me a lot in the night.

Hello, sorry I've missed this thread..

What is your doctor basing the remission claims on? Have you had any testing done recently ?

Unfortunately test results don't always reflect in our symptoms and it is important to make sure your doctor is aware of how you are feeling.

I'm sorry you are going through this, please feel free to vent here as much as you like!

Sorry you are not feeling better even in remission. I know this must take a huge mental toll on you, my advice is to just play it day by day and dont worry about the future. You will be symptom free one day!

That isn't remission, if you are stilll experiencing constant symptoms. I have a few surgies still going through the kinks and I feel amazing, but because of the complications they still don't consider me there yet. It's actually great you reached this point so soon, I know some people solve it fast, but mine took about 7 years haha.
:) But don't worry, it'll get better, and you'll find the lifestyle that suits your body the best

I've been on prednisone for a few weeks now.
I had a great appetite (for once), I had gained a few pounds (which was needed), and my flare was mild (but still there).
I was feeling good for a few days. One of those days happened to be the day I went to see the GI doctor.
My doctor just assumed that since I had been feeling good for a few days, then I most be in good enough condition to get off prednisone and go back to 6mp.
As soon as the dose went down, so did my appetite, my weight and my flare returned. The only thing that stayed the same was my stupid prednisone fat face, which looks weird on a girl with a body as skinny as a toothpick.
I'm still on prednisone, but still taking the dose down. :p
