S-Pouch - Does anyone else have this design?

I had my colectomy in 2000 - 2001 and my surgeon gave me an S-Pouch, instead of a J-Pouch. It did not function as we had hoped and I learned that shortly after, he went back to doing J-Pouches. I would love to find out if anyone else in the forum has the S-Pouch design and how it is going.

I just wanted to say I just read your story and I am completely amazed with you recollection of events. Completely mesmerized by it. I wonder how my daughter will remember the many stays at the hospital. Hoping she doesn't remember them at all, but between all the procedures I doubt she can forget. My daughter doesn't have an S-Pouch but a J-pouch. I just wanted to let you know someone is listening and supports you. Take Care!
