Wondering if any of you have this? My hands looks so scaly and getting worse..Mostly below my nail. Not sure if this has anything to do with UC. I don't have psoriosis or exzema. Also any remedys?
My 10 year old daughter has *old man hands* We have tried EVERYTHING and have yet to find something that works. Good luck! If you find something that does work.. please share.
Yeah me too, it doesnt help that I wash my hands X100 times a day (Yeah thank you Humira). Try washing your hands with cold water doring the day, avoid doing the dishes (Not so easy, I know) and apply a good deal of hand cream at night (petroleum jelly will do too) put a pair of socks or cotton gloves on and sleep with them. Hope this helps
When I used to have really bad problems with dry and cracking hands/fingers, the lotion that worked miracles for me was Avon hand cream!....I think it was the Care Deeply one...although I use different ones now - and yes, I would put lotion on and let sit with socks/baggies overnight too.....
I still like the Avon brands - I use one now that is Smooth as Silk I think...it leaves a smooth feeling like hte lotion stays there.....but not greasy!
Avon Moisture Therapy is the one I go with. The hand cream, not the hand lotion, the hand cream has a almost vaseline consistency when it goes on at first, but absorbs fantastic.
Good multi vitamins, fish oil, and...ta daaaa... Mary Kay Satin Hands set. It does the business. It has a scrub, and a night time product, and the hand cream. It's brilliant!
You can also use the night time stuff anywhere you have really dry skin, and it is wonderful!
