Scared that I might be having another blockage after surgery

Hi all.

I had surgery on Sept 17, 2014 and already today I'm feeling like I may be having another obstruction. It's such a weird feeling, I can trace where my food is at in my digestive tract and right now it HURTS. And there's gurgles when it gets to the painful spot. It all feels just like how it did before the surgery. I'm considering going to the ER but I'm not sure if I should.

Do you think this could be an obstruction again so soon after surgery(9 weeks)? I'm supposed to meet with my GI doctor this week, I'm not currently on any meds.

You know your body best so if you really think it could be I would trust your instincts. One way I always knew was that I would be in so much pain that my pain meds did nothing and I ended up throwing up. Also I always got a really distended belly and looked 6 months pregnant. Usually with blockages you won't pass any gas either (which causes distension)

Are you on a restricted diet? Your intestines are still healing and may not be able to handle certain foods. I had to change to a bland diet for 7-10 days to keep the pain at bay. Ask you GI about foods that may be irritating your intestines. The perplexing thing about Crohns is that there isn't any single food trigger for every CD patient.
